San Joaquin County named an Innovation Hub

San Joaquin County is one of four new locations of California’s Innovation Hubs, state economic development director Kish Rajan announced Tuesday.

“As one of the state’s newest additions to the iHub network, iHub San Joaquin employs tools and methods that will accelerate and foster innovation and entrepreneurship,” said the notice on the state’s GO-Biz site.

The announcement came just days after Gov. Jerry Brown signed AB 250 to establish the Innovation Accelerator Account. The program aims to accelerate and foster innovation and entrepreneurship. In San Joaquin County, i-Hub will focus on health care, construction and agriculture. It includes the following partners:
