Health Plan of San Joaquin names new controller

eleanor falconFRENCH CAMP — Accountant Eleanor Falcon has been promoted to controller for Health Plan of San Joaquin, the organization announced Friday.

Falcon has 18 years of experience in the health care sector. Over her career, she has worked with Astreya Partners, Davita RX, Vivra Holdings and the Kaiser Foundation.

Most recently, Falcon was Health Plan of San Joaquin’s assistant controller.

“We are delighted to have Eleanor strengthen our leadership with her considerable accounting expertise and commitment to mentoring staff,” said HPSJ chief financial officer Michelle Tetreault. “Eleanor is an important part of the success of our team of accountants, working with analysts, planners and coordinators, all focused on HPSJ’s stewardship of the resources with which we are entrusted.”

As controller, Falcon will supervise the financial operations of the not-for-profit managed care plan which annually distributes nearly $1 billion in state and federal revenue.

HPSJ, a not-for-profit health plan, has been serving members and the community since 1996.
