SAN DIEGO – The Permanente Medical Group (TPMG), which serves Kaiser Permanente members in the Central Valley received the “Making a Difference” award, from the global consulting firm Lee Hecht Harrison. The group was recognized at a conference in San Diego for its highly successful program to build leadership capability of physicians.

TPMG’s leadership program was started in 2010 to equip physicians with the skills needed to lead change and drive innovations that enhance quality and safety. So far more than 80 physicians have graduated from the program.

“TPMG physicians are applying leadership skills to solve real business challenges, with a laser focus on health to meet the market’s demand for safe, innovative, customized care,” Gary Halverson, Talent Development Coach at Lee Hecht Harrison said in a press release.
