The University of the Pacific welcomed its new freshman class with its traditional Tiger Roar Saturday, Aug. 22.
As freshman and new students left the new student convocation, they were cheered by upper classmen and showered with confetti.
Roar was followed by the university’s welcome barbecue on Knoles Lawn.
Pacific has about 1,000 freshmen and another 900 transfer and graduate students.
The Roar tradition started at Pacific in 2003.
