Pair appointed to law revision commission


Democrats Tom Hallinan, 54, of Ceres, and Jane McAllister, 53, of Hilmar, have been appointed to the California Law Revision Commission, pending Senate confirmation.

Hallinan has been a partner at Churchwell, White LLP since 2012 and was a partner at Bush, Ackley, Milich and Hallinan from 1994 to 2012. He has served as a law clerk at the U.S. Attorney’s Office in the Eastern District of California office from 1991 to 1993 and at the Judicial Council of California from 1990 to 1992.

Hallinan served as a member of the 38th District Agricultural Association and was on the Stanislaus County Fair Board of Directors from 2000 to 2004.

McAllister has been a partner at McAllister and McAllister Inc. since 1996. She was an associate at Damrell, Nelson, Schrimp, Pallios, Pacher and Silva from 1988 to 1996.

The positions come with a $100 per diem.
