Next week Tracy will get its own Dunkin’ Donuts. The new store is opening at 1970 West 11th St. in time for the morning commute — 5 a.m., Tuesday, Nov. 17.
It’s the newest location in Northern California for the nationwide donut chain, which has been expanding quickly throughout the state.
The opening includes a cup-stacking contest with representatives from the Boys and Girls Club of Tracy, Tracy Ministries Homeless Group and V.B.R. Foster Family Agency. Those organizations will each get a donation from Dunkin’ Donuts.
Under the heading “new things you learn every day,” I learned Dunkin’ Donuts has a mascot. Its name is Cuppy and if you’re at the opening, there are selfie opportunities.
Today at 1:30 p.m. a big piece of Lincoln Center goes into place as McCaulou’s department store opens in the spot where Campbell’s used to be. The store offers clothing for men, women, children, and infants, as well as shoes, toys, fragrances and cosmetics.
And remember when department stores offered free gift wrap? This holiday season, McCaulou’s will take care of that for you whenever you spend $15 or more.
McCaulou’s will be open 10 a.m.- 6 p.m., Monday – Saturday and noon to 5 p.m., Sunday.
