Financial Center Credit Union ad campaigns win awards

SAN FRANCISCO — The Palmer Advertising agency and the Financial Center Credit Union received Diamond Awards from the Credit Union National Association. The awards were given for the best point-of-sale and retail merchandising campaigns.

The awards are presented by the Marketing & Business Development Council which is made up of more than 1,200 credit union marketing business professionals. Awards are given in 30 categories ranging from advertising to community events.

Financial Center Credit Union’s Lucha Loans campaign, which was developed by Palmer Advertising, won the Diamond Award for retail merchandising. The campaign used cartoon wrestlers to help reach the region’s large Latino population.

Palmer Advertising also developed the credit union’s “Game of Loans” campaign which was selected as a Diamond Complete Campaign Award winner. The “Game of Loans” campaign was aimed at attracting younger members by using the popular HBO series “Game of Thrones” to promote the credit union’s services.
