MODESTO — Doctors Medical Center CEO Warren Kirk has been named CEO of parent company Tenet Healthcare’s Central Valley market.

Kirk will oversee the operations of the three-hospital network, which also includes Emanuel Medical Center in Turlock and Doctors Hospital of Manteca.

“This is an important market for us. As part of our long-term plans in the community, he will provide the strong leadership we need to successfully develop coordinated service lines, enhance access to high-quality healthcare and provide an even greater care experience to patients,” said Jeffrey Koury, CEO of Tenet’s Western Region.

Kirk became Doctors Medical Center’s CEO in 2011. He has led the hospital through a period of sustained growth, with improvements in both quality and service, Tenet said. Doctors Medical Center has experienced a significant increase in volumes in everything from emergency department visits to inpatient surgeries.

CEO Sue Micheletti and Doctors Hospital of Manteca CEO Ikenna “Ike” Mmeje

will now report to Kirk.

“I look forward to joining with my colleagues at Emanuel Medical Center and Doctors Hospital of Manteca as we work collaboratively to fulfill our joint mission of consistently providing high quality, compassionate care to Central Valley residents,” Kirk said.
