San Joaquin County is home to yet another case of embezzlement.

The Stockton Police Department arrested Haley Jayne Clare Flemens today on charges of embezzlement and intent to defraud.

Flemens allegedly forged checks and used ACH debits for personal expenses. Stockton Railcar Repair employees didn’t discover the thefts until April 10 of this year, since Flemens role at the company was to handle the books.

Flemens is charged on three felony counts – two counts of grand theft by embezzlement and one count of altering corporation books with intent to defraud.

A public defender was appointed to Flemens on June 12. She is currently being held at San Joaquin County Jail on $350,000 bail. Arraignment is scheduled for June 19 in San Joaquin Superior Court in Stockton.

Anyone with information in this case is asked to contact Stockton Police Detective Michelle Guthrie at (209) 937-5475.
