The Carnegie Arts Center in Turlock is seeking artwork inspired by Asian culture for a juried show to be held in October.
Artists working in all media are asked to submit their work to be on display in the Lobby Galleries at the Carnegie Arts Center for the length of the show.
According to a statement released by the center, “Pacific Currents is a juried, all media exhibition that seeks to explore the variety of ways contemporary artists have been inspired or influenced by the arts of Asia.”
The submissions will be a part of a juried show presented along with “Nature, Tradition & Innovation: Contemporary Japanese Ceramics from the Gordon Brodfuehrer Collection” which will be on view at the Carnegie Arts Center in the fall of 2017.
An entry fee of $20 will be required for each first entry, and $15 for each additional entry for non-member artists.
