Property owners, business owners, community leaders and residents are encouraged to attend a workshop centered on the revitalization of Stockton’s East Main Street Corridor.
The workshop, hosted by Mayor Michael Tubbs and Councilmember Jesus Andrade, will focus on examples of how the area can be improved to enhance the economic development and attract more traffic.
Attendees will learn how “East Main Street can leverage its unique assets, its existing buildings, it’s local businesses and its infrastructure to improve the community’s brand and increase economic activity in the district.
Business owners will have the chance to learn how to increase traffic and sales for minimal investments.
Michele Reeves, a presenter at the workshop, is a development strategist with private-sector experience on business district revitalization.
This free program will be held on Aug. 1, from 12 noon to 1:30 p.m. at Fair Oaks Library, 2370 E. Main St., in Stockton. A light lunch and refreshments will be provided. Those wishing to attend can get more information by contacting Max Vargas at Max.Vargas@stocktonca.gov.
