The Central Valley Hispanic Chamber of Commerce was selected by the California Hispanic Chambers of Commerce (CHCC) as its “Chamber of the Year.”
The award is presented to a local Hispanic chamber which has shown “growth in membership, programming and a commitment to the economic growth of their region,” according to a letter alerting the Central Valley chamber of its selection.
“We are absolutely delighted and honored and more humbled by this honor than we are proud,” said Christine Schweininger, CEO of the Central Valley Hispanic Chamber of Commerce in a statement. “We have worked so hard as a chamber. Thank you to our ambassadors and especially to our Board and all of our members! Nothing can be done by one but only by all.”
The CHCC also takes a chamber’s commitment to advocacy, empowerment and education for Hispanic businesses into consideration.
The award will be presented at the 38th Annual Statewide Convention, August 24-25 in Rohnert Park.
