Public hearing for new state rail plan to be held

The Assembly Select Committee will hold a public hearing on the new California State Rail Plan.

The hearing will include presentations on key findings and improvement programs for intercity and commuter passenger rail services, which include Amtrak San Joaquin and the Altamont Corridor Express trains.

Committee members are expected to go over funding opportunities for the expansion plans.

Members of the public who attend will be allowed to make comments at the end of the hearing, which will be held at the State Capitol, Room 4204, on August 30, at 2:30 p.m
