Students dressed as superheroes will read to children at the upcoming Family Day event on September 16.

The Record’s Family Day will be celebrating its 20th anniversary on September 16 at University Park in Stockton.

Family Day focuses on fun and educational activities for the community, including interactive projects, games, entertainment and the chance for children to meet their favorite authors and superheroes.

Authors Matthew Gollub (“The Jazz Fly” and “Mailman Joe”), Dennis Hysom (“Wooleycat” musical theatre books), Terry A. O’Neal (“My Jazz Shoes”), Jane Vial Jaffe (“Count to Knee”) and Catherine Lagorio (“Dropped-Off Dog”) will all be in attendance to read their stories and sign autographs.

Students from the Community Involvement Program will also ready stories, while dressed as popular superheroes.

The free event will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. For more information, visit familydayatthepark.com.
