Nominations sought for ‘Stocktonian of the Year’

October 6, 2017

The Central Valley Association of Realtors Stockton Council and the Greater Stockton Chamber of Commerce are seeking nominations for the 2017 Stocktonian of the Year.

Nominees should “embody the spirit of volunteerism and who have conscientiously served and positively impacted the community,” according to a statement released by the organizations. The recipient will be honored at a banquet held in February of 2018.

The program recognizes those who have made a positive impact, but don’t necessarily seek to be recognized for their efforts. Nominees should seek to make their community a better place through actions that aren’t associated with a paid position. Those nominated don’t need to reside in Stockton, however, the results of their work should make a difference to the Stockton community.

Nominations can be entered at GEM Mortgage, 3031 W. March Lane, Ste. 239, Stockton, or the Stockton Chamber of Commerce, 445 W. Weber Ave., Ste. 220, Stockton. Nominations can also be accepted via email at [email protected] or [email protected].

The organizations ask that you deliver your nominations with information about the person being nominated. Forms can be found online at https://stocktonchamber.org/stocktonian-of-the-year-nominations-now-open/ and the entry deadline is Dec. 1, 2017.
