Two organizations are teaming up to help residents of San Joaquin County learn how to grow their own.
The Emergency Food Bank of Stockton/San Joaquin and the University California Cooperative Extension Master Gardeners of San Joaquin County have partnered to offer free gardening classes to the public.
Two classes will be held at the Emergency Food Bank Community Garden and will focus on pruning fruit trees.
Both classes start at 10 a.m., with one held Nov. 4 and the other held Nov. 18. Participants are encouraged to bring their own hand-pruning tools to learn proper techniques in pruning grapes, citrus trees, small fruit trees and rose bushes.
The classes last an hour and will be held at 7 W. Scotts Ave., in Stockton.
