The San Joaquin County Board of Supervisors and the Lodi City Council will hold a joint study session on homelessness on Oct. 17.
Both government entities will convene to discuss the issue of homelessness, and what has been accomplished thus far.
Lodi Mayor Doug Kuehne has made the issue one of his top priorities during his appointment.
The joint session will hear presentations on the work completed in 2017 by the San Joaquin County Homelessness Task Force, hear an update by the City of Lodi on the topic, discuss the county board’s request that Lodi adopt its recommended strategic priorities and discuss the county board’s request that Lodi fund a continuum of care and homelessness coordinator position.
The public is invited to attend, and there will be a period of time granted for public comment. Those wishing to comment must fill out a public comment form, found at the SJC Board of Supervisors’ office.
The session will be held Oct. 17, 6 p.m., at 44 N. San Joaquin St., 6th floor.
