The Grand Foundation in Tracy is accepting entries for its 2018 Student Film Festival.
The festival features short films submitted by college and high school students from throughout California, Arizona, Nevada and Oregon. Awards totaling $3,250 will be given to the entries deemed the best student films by a panel of judges.
The Grand Foundation Student Film Festival’s goal is to “inspire young filmmakers and give them an attainable venue in which to have their short film live-screened, juried and awarded.” A question-and-answer period will be held at the festival along with a panel discussion.
Entries must be between three and 15 minutes long. Genres include indie, experimental, animation, documentary, political/cause, narrative, public service announcement and others. The deadline to submit films is Jan. 5, 2018. The film Festival will be held March 17, 2018 at the Grand Theater in Tracy.
More information on how to enter a film can be found at grandfoundation.org/events/film.
