World Ag Expo to boast 1,500 exhibitions, showcase new tech

The World Ag Expo is held in Tulare, south of Visalia. Over 1,500 exhibitors will be in attendance at the annual event.

The World Ag Expo is just around the corner.

From Feb. 13-15, tours, seminars, product demonstrations, wine and cheese tastings and more will be offered to expo attendees at the 51st World Ag Expo in Tulare, a Central Valley city eight miles south of Visalia.

The Expo will be held from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday, and 9 a.m.-4 p.m. on Thursday. It is the largest outdoor agricultural exposition of its kind, boasting 1,500 exhibitors and cutting-edge agricultural technology and equipment over 2.6 million square feet of show grounds.

Tickets cost $15 each per day. Code ENEWS3 will get you a $3 discount.

For those interested in learning about technological advances and new equipment, demonstrations will be held daily in the WAE Arena.

Premium exhibitors include DeLaval, Inc., which offers stanchion milking, robotics and rotary parlors; Kuriyama of America, showcasing its Kuri Tec Truespray hose, A4086 Series, proven to reduce unwanted herbicide carryover crop damage; Hino Trucks, recognized worldwide as one of the leading innovators in engine design and performance; and Reinke Manufacturing Co., a family-owned manufacturer of irrigation systems.

On Wednesday, a concert with Craig Campbell will be held from 6-7 p.m. Concert admission is free with paid WAE admission.

Winners from the World Ag Expo’s Top-10 New Products Competition will also be showcased during the event, representing cutting-edge, cost-saving and resource-managing products for the agriculture industry.
