The Downtown Modesto Partnership and city officials will take a look back over the progress made in the downtown area during 2017 and share it at an upcoming event.
On Thursday, March 1, at the Gallo Center for the Arts in Downtown Modesto, DoMo Partnership CEO Josh Bridegroom will give the State of Downtown Annual Address.
Attendees will hear from Bridegroom, Modesto and Stanislaus County officials and from keynote speaker Peter Kageyama, a community development strategist. Kageyama is the author of “For the Love of Cities,” a book about the emotional connection people make with the cities they live in.
Kageyama will share successful initiatives utilized by other cities and how Modesto can do the same.
“We love our downtown all year long and look forward to sharing some of the great work that is being done to make it even more attractive to residents, visitors and guests,” Bridegroom said in a statement. “We are truly excited to share stories of successful strategies from other cities and talk about what’s being done to partner with the broader community to activate downtown and help it realize its full potential.”
