Visit Stockton takes home gold and bronze for marketing efforts


Visit Stockton, the organization responsible for marketing the city as a destination, was recently lauded for its online and marketing endeavors.

On Feb. 20 in New York City, the Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International (HSMAI) honored Visit Stockton with a gold and bronze Adrian Award. The Adrian Awards are given to organizations using creativity and innovation in their marketing and advertising efforts.

The gold was awarded for and the bronze was awarded for Visit Stockton’s #StocktonTrue campaign.

“Visit Stockton is thrilled to be recognized for our efforts to market and promote Stockton as a destination,” said Wes Rhea, CEO of the organization, in a statement. “We strive to remain on the forefront of digital marketing, and are thankful for our partnership with our web developer, Tempest Interactive Media, and our agency, FourthIdea.”

The awards event was attended by more than 1,000 executives in the hospitality, travel and tourism marketing business.

“The theme of this year’s Adrian Awards was ‘Be a Travel Marketing Super Hero.’ It’s fitting because the winners have all taken bold and dynamic approaches that inspire and advance the hospitality industry as a whole,” said Robert A.
