On May 4, Health Net held its Community Connections Forum in Stockton. According to the organization, nearly 100 leaders from various health and public agencies attended the event aimed at discussing the impact of childhood trauma on overall health and wellness.
“Recognizing the impact of adverse childhood experiences on a person’s lifespan is an important step toward finding solutions for health-harming behaviors and conditions,” said Carol Kim, vice president of community investments and public affairs for Health Net. “This is an opportunity for public health and community leaders to come together and bring regional solutions to San Joaquin County. We are committed in working with our front-line service providers to build resilient communities that thrive for all residents.”
