active noise cancellation and more battery – Latest News, Breaking News, Top News Headlines

Just a few hours after the presentation of the new Huawei Mate X2 and various accessories of the brand, it seems that some Chinese distributors have already started to include these products, leaving us big surprises like the Huawei FreeBuds 4i, the new generation of wireless headphones from the brand that is presented under very discreet but grateful changes compared to its predecessors.

The first thing that strikes us is the fact that the Huawei Freebuds 4i maintain their baton design, with lines that are practically identical to the FreeBuds 3i. Although it seems that the bar will be slightly shorter and somewhat thicker, also increasing the angle of inclination of the headset, apparently to offer us greater comfort and grip.

Another feature that remains is gesture control, which can be configured from any phone of the brand with an EMUI 11.0 operating system; improving connectivity thanks to the inclusion of Bluetooth 5.2 with sensors both in the headphones and in the box, which will allow us to make the pairing without the need to remove the headphones from the case; in addition to active noise cancellation and a dual microphone system, which promises some slight improvements over the experience of its predecessors.

And is that one of the main changes will come with its battery and autonomy. Although the headphones will go from integrating a battery greater than 55 mAh, which promises a range of up to 10 hours (7.5 hours with the ANC function active), it is surprising that the case has its capacity reduced to almost half, going from 410 mAh to only 215 mAh, offering only two full charges for both headphones.

Availability and price

Currently the Huawei FreeBuds 4i are available exclusively for the Chinese market, showing an introductory price of just 499 yuan (approximately 64 euros to change) for its three variants of white, red and black.

So, just as the FreeBuds 3i did, the new headphones are expected to also arrive in Spain over the next several months, possibly setting a more specific date during today’s presentation.
