Almost 40% of Apple users want to buy the new iPhone 12

The iPhone 12 is set to break all records. Although Apple’s new smartphones will almost certainly be delayed until October, many users are eager to get hold of them.

According to a survey prepared by BankMyCell to 2,470 iPhone users in the United States, approximately half of current Apple smartphone users plan to upgrade their phones before the end of 2020.

Of all of them, the 38% said they were waiting for the new iPhone 12 to update your current devices. In addition to this 38%, there is another 12% who ensure that they will upgrade to another iPhone model before the end of the year.

Many might think that this is only in the US, but worldwide the figures are similar. Approximately 35% of iPhone users plan to upgrade to iPhone 12 and another 20% plan to upgrade to an older model.

About the 39% of iPhone users worldwide said they will keep their current phones through the end of the year, and the remaining 6% said they plan to switch to a non-Apple device this year.

Many users are waiting for the new iPhone 12

Really, half of iPhone users are unlikely to upgrade its model before the end of 2020. Apple has one billion active iPhones around the world, and if half of them update all sales records would be broken.

What is true is that The iPhone 12 have generated great expectations, mainly thanks to 5G technology. IPhones are lasting longer in the hands of users and their average renewal cycle exceeds 2 years.

This is something Apple must learn to live with, and it really is. Apple has created new services to keep making profits, and many iPhone users are potential subscribers to these services. So that it is almost more important to grow the user base for those who are already updating their device.
