Economic analysts consulted by Citibanamex They foresee greater growth for the Mexican economy in 2021, estimating an advance in activity of 3.6 to 3.9 percent.

Itaú BBA is the financial institution that maintains the best projection for GDP growth this year, with a forecast of 6.0 percent, according to the survey Citibanamex of expectations held biweekly.

While, Citibanamex anticipates that the growth of the Mexican economy this year will be 4.2 percent, Santander expects it to be 3.5 percent, while BBVA, did not give an indicator this fortnight.

International banks also improved their forecasts. Bank of America estimates that economic growth will be 3.0 percent; JP Morgan forecasts the advance to be 5.1 percent and UBS projects an advance of 5.6 percent GDP.

Likewise, all participants expect the central bank to continue with the decrease in the reference rate, which is currently at a level of 4.0 percent.

The 28 participants foresee that the cut will be a quarter of a percentage point, from four to 3.75 percent.
