Today the world is full of Marvel superheroes thanks to its Cinematic Universe that has captured the public’s attention for more than ten years. But long before this innumerable number of characters flooded the movies and television, there was one in particular that was the favorite and most popular among the characters of this comic book company, and it is Spider-Man. Not only were there – and still do – the costumes, clothing and other merchandise that refer to the young superhero, but the numbers of the comics were the best sellers in addition to having its own animated series. When the character debuted on the big screen in live-action, after some ’70s shows and pilots, with Spider-Man – 89% of Sam Raimi in 2002, Peter Parker fans went wild, and even more people joined the ranks of his followers.
Since then, the other “Spideys” played by Andrew Garfield and Tom Holland have repeated the success to some degree, as there are those who still consider Tobey Maguire’s version as the best. The magic of this character is that it can be adapted to the time from different perspectives and it still works. During a recent interview that Andrew Garfield awarded Sirius XM, the presenter Andy Cohen commented that there were already “too many Spider-Man movies”, to which the protagonist of The Amazing Spider-Man – 73% said they did not agree, due to how versatile the character can be, also explaining why it could be played by any type of person.

Despite the problems he had in the past with Sony, the actor has shown a lot of affection and respect for the character, as he has also ensured that thanks to him he met important people for his life and career. Currently, Garfield has been bombarded by fans as well as the media for his supposed appearance in Spider-Man: No Road Home that, although it makes sense that he is part of the cast, he has not tired of denying it.
