The Greater Stockton Chamber of Commerce has selected Kristen Dyke as its 2017 ATHENA Young Professional Leadership Award recipient.
Dyke, the CEO and marketing director of Port City Marketing Solutions, was chosen for her dedication to the community, the empowerment and advancement of women and creating a better place for under-served residents of Stockton, according to the chamber.
A longtime resident of the Central Valley, Dyke is also president of the Child Abuse Prevention Council board of directors, having raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for the council and children of the county via the annual Ducky Derby.
Dyke is also active with the Pacific Athletic Foundation and The Eleanor Project, a women’s leadership group, of which she is a founding advisor.
In a statement released by the chamber, Dyke “serves as a role model for young people, both personally and professional, with an unselfish and non-judgmental dedication. (She) works alongside women and men in our community supporting and encouraging them to realize their own potential both in business and life. She is a guiding force that often goes unsung and is one of Stockton’s greatest champions.”
The 2017 ATHENA Awards will be held Nov. 16, 11:30 a.m., at the Stockton Golf and Country Club. For more information or to purchase tickets, visit stocktonchamber.org/athena-awards/
