The developers of Bitcoin Core have just announced the release of version 0.20.1 of the software. This is a minor release that includes various bug fixes and performance improvements, as well as updated translations.
For all new features, changes and bug fixes visit bitcoincore.org. To report any issues: github.com/bitcoin/bitcoin/issues. It is recommended to upgrade the software.
– It is recommended to verify, on several sources, the key that cryptographically signs the digital fingerprint of Bitcoin Core binary files.
– To update the software, it is advisable to turn off Bitcoin Core, taking care to either wait for the complete shutdown (which can take several minutes with the oldest versions) before running the installation program.
– If this is a first installation, Bitcoin Core will download the entire transaction register. Make sure you have enough bandwidth and disk space (the registry is currently just under 300 GB). Be careful, if you are just starting out, Bitcoin Core is probably not the best solution for you. It is best to start with a light application.
Bitcoin Core is free software released under the MIT license.
