MADRID, Jul 31 (.) – The net profit of the Spanish bank Caixabank increased 30% year-on-year in the second quarter of the year due to lower restructuring costs, despite having allocated 755 million euros ($ 898 million) to offset the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic in the period from April to June.
The country’s third largest bank in terms of total assets announced on Friday a net profit of 115 million euros in the quarter. Analysts polled by . expected a net profit of 195 million euros in the quarter.
