AXN Spain has acquired the broadcasting rights for ‘X Company’, an espionage series that premieres on March 4, 2021. It is a Hungarian-Canadian drama set in World War II. Five young people are recruited to a training facility on the shores of Lake Ontario to become secret agents. Taking advantage of the qualities that each one of them has, the protagonists are sent on different covert missions. The fiction is based on real events using as a reference the secret Special Training School No. 103, better known as Camp X from 1941 to 1969.

Created by Mark Ellis and Stephanie Morgenstern, The drama premiered on February 18, 2015 on CBC and ended on March 15, 2017.. The showrunners serve as executive producers alongside David Fortier, Bill Haber and Ivan Schneeberg, the latter known for his work on ‘Orphan Black’. Évelyne Brochu, Jack Laskey, Warren Brown, Connor Price, Dustin Milligan, Torben Liebrecht, Lara Jean Chorostecki and Hugh Dillon round out the series’ main cast. As if that were not enough, it was attended by guest stars such as Andreas Pietschmann, Francis Magee, Maryam d’Abo, Juliet Stevenson, Ashley Charles, Craig Parkinson or Elsa Mollien, among others.
