Netflix’s Marvel series were able to win the hearts of fans, but there is no doubt that the most loved and best received was Daredevil – 93%. For this reason, all kinds of rumors have arisen about the possible appearance of Matt Murdock in the MCU and, specifically, in Spider-Man: No Road Home. All these rumors ensure that Charlie Cox is going to play the character again. One of the rumors clarified that the film will ignore the adventures of the character on the streaming service. Just the same actor is going to play a completely new version for the MCU.

As many other fans were swearing that they saw it in the trailer of said film, although the appearance of the IMAX version of it denied that rumor completely. That said, many still have faith that it will be introduced to the MCU on said tape. Others expect me to do it in She-hulk for the fact of being a legal comedy.
Of course, Marvel hasn’t made any kind of official announcement on this. We have no idea if it will appear or not. It’s a possibility, like many others that never come to fruition in the MCU. What has the actor said about it? The same as other gossip targets in the MCU. Deny it over and over again. He did it a couple of weeks ago and just did it again in an interview for Forbes. Of course, now he clarified that the reason why he has this attitude is because he feels that the Marvel executives could be listening to that and he does not want to ruin his chances of being in a future movie of this cinematographic universe:

My answer is that I have no comment; I don’t know what is going to happen. I genuinely don’t know. If there is a possibility that that will happen in the future, I do not want to say something that could potentially jeopardize that opportunity. High-ranking people in Marvel could be seeing these things or hearing what I say or blah, blah, blah … maybe that influences him. I don’t know, I have no idea. I love how passionate the fans are and I feel very, very moved that many of them have gone on the internet and made their voices heard about their desire for me to come back and maybe in the future that will happen. , and that would be great. Who knows? We’ll see.
As we said above, it is not the first time that the actor makes a statement of this type. In an interview with the Irish Examiner, he made it clear that he has had to tell people in his personal life that these rumors are false and that if he were to appear in the MCU, he would have already told them:
One of my good friends in New York, who knows me very well, texted me a clip of a leaked trailer that had me in it. I had to answer him to tell him that it wasn’t real. Like you could clearly see that it wasn’t real. This is a guy who knows me and believed it. I said, “Do you think I would not have told you?”
The same has happened to him in his working life and he even had to point out a colleague during the recording of Kin that how the rumor that he was in Atlanta filming the spider-hero movie at the time was going to be true, if he was on the set of that series in Dublin:
There was a fan on Kin’s team. I got to work one day, and there had been a rumor going around that I was filming in Atlanta, and he asked me like it was a delicate question, and I said, “I’ve been here every day with you on set,” but I think I was so hopeful because he was still like, “Is that true?” I had to say to him: “How would that be true?”
