Correos has obtained the Aenor certification for its preventive measures, procedures and action protocols implemented against the risk of Covid-19. Aenor has considered that they comply with the instructions of the competent health authorities in the matter.
To obtain this certification, Aenor has carried out a documentary analysis of all the procedures and measures published and adopted by Correos in relation to the management of the coronavirus, according to the company in a statement.
Likewise, the auditor has also verified in person the implementation and compliance of preventive measures in the distribution units, offices, treatment centers and administrative buildings.
With this certification, Correos is positioned in preventive matters against Covid-19 in line with other organizations such as Renfe, Telefónica, Metro de Madrid, Carrefour, Mediaset España or Sanitas, which have also opted to reinforce their commitment to safety and security. health of its employees, users and customers.
The company defends that, since the beginning of the pandemic, all its activities have been carried out following the instructions issued by the Ministry of Health to preserve the health of workers and clients, exceeding work inspections by more than 50 since the state of alarm.
“The safety of professionals has always been a priority for the company and all appropriate measures have been taken to make it so, strictly complying with the security protocols that the authorities have been marking at all times,” he says.
The main premises have been to guarantee the distance of two meters, avoid saturation in offices and facilities, the continuous disinfection of all elements, work equipment and vehicles. On the other hand, all professionals with any type of symptomatology have had to stay at home and report it to their manager.
During this time, Correos has distributed 13.8 million FFP2-type masks, more than 98,000 liters of hydroalcoholic gel, more than 30,000 liters of disinfectant gel and about 20.5 million gloves.
On the other hand, starting in 2021, Correos has raised the price of the stamps necessary to send standardized letters and postcards of up to twenty grams of weight to national destinations for next year by 7.7%, to 0 , 70 euros, which represents an increase of five cents that will be applied from January 1.
