ColaCao wanted to pay tribute to the “heroes and heroines” who fight against COVID-19 through their packaging, in which the brand name has been replaced by the word ‘thank you’ along with illustrations by professionals from these groups , like doctors and police.
The cocoa powder brand has put up for sale a limited edition of these packages, the profits of which will go entirely to the Federation of Food Banks of Spain (FESBAL).
«ColaCao’s solidarity action wants to be a tribute to some heroic groups in unforgettable days; an episode that we hope will not be repeated, but whose spirit of union and collaboration is important to preserve ”, says the CEO of Idilia Foods, Xavi Pons.
In this special edition, the legendary ColaCao yellow and red boat is decorated with drawings of doctors, journalists, members of the security forces, supermarket workers and cleaning personnel. “People who have exposed themselves week after week to take care of others” and who “have helped us get ahead”.
The illustrations, “with a marked childish character”, also want “to applaud the boys and girls, who with their exemplary behavior during the long weeks of confinement have given a lesson in life to the whole of society”.
This initiative is part of the aid plan that Idilia Foods has launched for the covid-19 and which has involved the donation of more than 120 tons of products to humanitarian organizations and hospitals and financial resources.
