The Portuguese government has decided to reconfigure the country for a period of one month, starting next Friday, in the face of a rapid and uncontrollable increase in cases of coronavirus.
The Portugal will be reconfigured for a month starting January 15th. Prime Minister Antonio Costa indicated that the health restrictions to be applied will be essentially similar to those in force last spring.
The Portugal was relatively spared by the first epidemic wave due to containment decided very early. But the country is struggling to stem the second wave, in part because in the fall, no re-containment was not decided unlike other European countries. The results of coronavirus in the country reported, Wednesday, January 13, 156 dead and 10,556 cases detected in a single day.
When announcing this re-containment, the Socialist Prime Minister revealed that schools, courts or even churches will remain open while non-essential shops, cafes and restaurants will be closed, reports RTL.
