Dallas : Driver and passenger cause chase in multiple areas of Dallas – .

TEXAS – Multiple officers with the Dallas Police Department tried to detain the driver and passenger of a pickup truck Friday afternoon.

The preliminary report indicated that both the driver and the passenger evaded the authorities and therefore were arrested.

Dallas police also said the driver collided with a police car and the chase between S Lancaster Road and Lyndon B Johnson Freeway began.

But not everything ended immediately since between Angelica Way and Vine Ln the passenger got off on crutches. He would also be wanted for trying to steal a car that had a device installed by the police to detect this type of crime.

The chase then continued in various areas including the southbound I-45 freeway.

Finally, the driver left the white truck without stopping it. The man began to flee on foot and was possibly hiding in an apartment complex located between E Overton Road and Julius Schepps Freeway, according to a police statement.

The investigation into the case continues and it was not immediately detailed whether the passenger was detained.
