The Arizona Diamondbacks have begun individual practice as part of the measured return to activity in Major League Baseball for the coronavirus pandemic.

A small number of players practiced at Chase Field in downtown Phoenix and at Salt River Fields, their preseason training facility, about 20 miles away in Scottsdale.

The players kept as much distance to each other as possible, in accordance with mandatory league regulations after the MLB office authorized training.

In early March, two weeks before its start, the baseball season was postponed due to COVID-19.
