(. Spanish) – An earthquake of magnitude 6.1 shook the coasts of Alaska, United States, on the afternoon of this Saturday, according to reports from the United States Geological Survey (USGS, for its acronym in English).
The seismic focus was located 19.1 kilometers deep. The epicenter was located 54 kilometers northwest of the Tanaga volcano and 129.5 kilometers northwest of the Adak, Alaska coasts.
Authorities ruled out a tsunami warning.
