(.) – More than 4,700 earthquakes have been recorded in California since Thursday’s 6.4-magnitude event, said John Bellini, a geophysicist with the United States Geological Survey (USGS).
“They come every 30 seconds, every minute,” he said.

Since the 7.1 magnitude earthquake on Friday night, there have been three earthquakes with a magnitude of 5 or more.
All three occurred within the first hour after the 7.1 siso; one was of magnitude 5.5 and there were two earthquakes of 5.4.
