Fortnite will have a special event to “say goodbye” to iOS players and everything seems to be a strategy to boost your campaign against Apple.
Not long ago Epic Games made a parody of one of Apple’s most iconic commercials. The short film has as its protagonists the characters of its famous game Fortnite, who after evading the rules of the App Store, a lawsuit against Apple and other details was left out of the app store that brings the most profit to developers.
What is the problem? Epic games tried to implement their own in-game purchasing system, something that completely violates the rules of the App Store imposed for all developers who decide to put their applications in the store.
Now with all the legal problem, the disagreement of Epic Games for having Fortnite out of the App Store and Apple maintaining its position ensuring that there will be no exception, is being organized a unique event for all players.
Epic Games has decided to make the #FreeFortnite Cup, an event that aims to put pressure on the Cupertino company and fire the players who have Fortnite installed on their iOS device, because this August 27 season 4 of chapter 2 and in the absence of an update on the App Store all iOS players will not be able to access it.
If you fall behind on iOS after the release of Chapter 2 – Season 4, the party continues on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PC, Mac, GeForce Now, and through the Epic Games app on epicgames.com and the Store Samsung galaxy. Join the fight against @AppStore on social media with #FreeFortnite.
