In recent months, several of those involved in the making of Eternals have said that we are facing a very special work within the superhero genre and cinematography in general. There is no doubt that of all the future MCU films this is the one that has the highest expectations thanks to the fact that it was directed by Chloé Zhao. This is due, to a greater or lesser extent, to the fact that the director won the Oscar for Best Picture and Best Director for Nomadland – 100%. From before that was said, all kinds of rumors began to spread that the movie was such a good thing that Marvel Studios could not believe the jewel that the director had made. The race of Zhao supports it.

Thanks to the trailer and the teasers of the film we know a little about the film and the powers of the protagonists, although there are still some debates about them. For this reason, in a recent interview for Total Film (via Comic Book) with all the main actors, they were asked each to talk about the superpowers of their respective characters. Here we leave what each one said
Gemma Chan (Sersi):
Sersi can manipulate matter. So inanimate substances and objects, I suppose … she can transmute them into other things. Which is very useful. It’s something good.

Angelina Jolie (Thena):
They gave me the power to ‘have the ability to manifest weapons in my hands’. A lot of my training was a lot of fun… trying to understand how I could fight like that.
Richard Madden (Ikaris):
His powers are very cool. He is very strong, and has the ability to fly and shoot laser beams from his eyes. I guess the main challenge was trying to make something look like it was very easy to do.
Kumail Nanjiani (Kingo):
He can shoot lightning bolts from his arms… lightning bolts come out of his hands. Obviously, they added the lasers in post-production. Don’t use the method so much for that. I took martial arts and dance classes to understand the movements he would make when shooting.
Lia McHugh (Sprite):
Sprite can create illusions. His powers are used in all sorts of creative ways in Eternals that become relevant to the story.
Lauren Ridloff (Makkari)
His most obvious power is speed, but how he manipulates speed like a weapon is just brilliant, so his true power is his intelligence.
Brian Tyree Henry (Phastos):
They like to call him a technopath, which basically means that he can use his mind and energy to literally assemble anything from whatever technology he has around him.
Barry Keoghan (Druig):
He uses mind control to manipulate and control people. He doesn’t do anything with his hands. He just watches, which is kind of cool.
Don lee / Dong-seok Ma (Gilgamesh):
Gilgamesh is immortal, he has superhuman strength, and is considered the strongest of the Eternals. He has a unique attack to knock out in one hit like a heavyweight boxer. As a veteran boxer, I tried to incorporate a lot of real boxing moves.
Salma Hayek (Ajak):
Another thing that inspired me was that his superpower is to heal. That gives the feeling that she is a mother.
Lastly, Kit Harington lamented that her character doesn’t have superpowers and said she would have liked to have even one:
Me, I just want a proxy. My interaction with those powers was very cool. It was great to watch, but it was also envious.
