football : Pedro leaves Chelsea (official)

Football :

Five years after his arrival near Stamford Bridge, Pedro left Chelsea and went to Italy. Free from any commitment, the Spaniard has signed up with AS Roma.

It is with undisguised emotion that Pedro wanted to send a message to the supporters of Chelsea this Sunday. After five years spent in the Blues jersey, the international offensive of La Roja expressed his gratitude to a club that had recruited him in 2015, from FC Barcelona. Now 33 years old, Pedro has won many trophies with Chelsea, including a Premier League title, an FA Cup or a Europa League.

In 206 appearances for the London jersey, the former nugget of Barça scored 43 goals, including one last year in the Europa League final won at the expense of Arsenal. His last goal was scored against Everton, just before the start of the coronavirus crisis. But this year, with the stinging defeat of the Londoners in the double confrontation between them against Bayern Munich (0-3 at Stamford Bridge, then 4-1 in Germany), the adventure therefore ends for Pedro who will now discover a new championship, since he has signed up with AS Roma for the next two seasons.
