One of the first big events of fall took place Sept. 28 at Ironstone Vineyards in Murphys — the Concours d’Elegance. It’s a huge fundraiser featuring dozens of the most beautiful classic cars you’ve ever seen. It showcases cars from the 1890s through the 60s. There were race cars and vintage travel trailers as well. Money raised from the event benefits 4-H Clubs, Future Farmers of America and the California State Fair Scholarship Fund.
The gala luncheon featured an auction and a few words from former Secretary of Agriculture Ann Veneman, who talked about her own history with 4H.
Thanks to Ironstone Vineyards owners Gail and John Kautz for putting on this fabulous event once again.
