Netflix will release 70 movies this 2021
Netflix will premiere 70 original movies in 2021, the company said in a statement Tuesday, promoting the streaming service’s most ambitious list yet.
Netflix’s movie lineup includes one of its most expensive productions to date, Red Notice, starring Dwayne Johnson, Ryan Reynolds and Gal Gadot, as well as sequels to their hit romantic comedies The Kissing Booth and To All the Boys I ‘ watch Loved Before.
The streaming service has also commissioned more than a dozen dramas, including Halle Berry’s directorial debut and a feature film starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Jennifer Lawrence.
Netflix, once a taboo word among filmmakers loyal to the big screen, is now one of the few trusted studios in the industry. The platform has increased its production as theaters remain closed in much of the world.
Netflix seized the year 2020 and released new movies from directors like Spike Lee, George Clooney and Gina Prince-Bythewood to entertain all the people who needed to stay home. He also acquired several studio films that theaters couldn’t use.
The streaming service has expanded its operations in recent years under the leadership of film director Scott Stuber, adding the films Extraction, The Old Guard and Spenser Confidential to its list of dramas, documentaries and romantic comedies series for the Oscar awards. Netflix will release movies in nearly every genre in 2021, including action, horror, comedy, suspense, drama, western, and animation.
Stuber’s team is overseeing a roster of 52 action movies in English and another 10 in foreign languages. Netflix will also release eight animated films in 2021. The list of 70 films does not include documentaries.

At 19, Billie Eilish is already reminiscing about the past.
The Grammy-winning singer will publish a collection of hundreds of rarely-seen photos of her in May, Grand Central Publishing announced Tuesday. The book will be titled Billie Eilish and, according to Grand Central, “it will capture the essence of Billie inside and out by offering readers a personal glimpse of her childhood, her life on the road and more.”
Billie Eilish includes text, but it is “predominantly” a photo book, the publisher said.
In a statement, Eilish said: “I spent many hours over many months carefully going through my family’s albums and archives, personally choosing the photos in this book. I hope you like it as much as I do ”.
Formula 1 season to start in Bahrain
The start of the Formula One season has been delayed after the Australian Grand Prix was delayed from March to November due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The race that was to be held in Melbourne on March 21 will move to November 21. The Chinese Grand Prix was also delayed, but there is no new date yet.
The season will kick off with the Bahrain Grand Prix on March 28 in Sakhir, less than four months after the same circuit hosted two rounds of the 2020 season.
The calendar will feature a race at the Imola circuit, in Italy, on April 18, a week after the date initially scheduled for the one in China. There remains a vacancy for May 2, with the Portimao circuit in Portugal among the candidates for that weekend.
There is no margin in the calendar for later dates. The races in the second half of the season have been programmed successively in blocks of three weeks, loading the teams with work.
Delaying the Australian GP also means delaying the end of the season in Abu Dhabi by a week, to December 12. The calendar remains with 23 races, the most in history.

French wine and vineyards return after a year in space
The International Space Station said goodbye on Tuesday to 12 bottles of French Bordeaux wine and hundreds of vine cuts that spent a year in orbit around the Earth in the name of science.
The SpaceX Dragon cargo capsule set off with the wine, vines and thousands of kilos of equipment and research objects, such as mice, aiming to land Wednesday night in the Gulf of Mexico off the coast of Florida. Bad weather made it impossible to do so in the Atlantic, as planned. SpaceX cargo ships previously fell into the Pacific.
Each bottle, encased in a steel cylinder to prevent breakage, remained with its cork in the orbital laboratory. Space Cargo Unlimited, a Luxembourg company, wanted to test aging wine in space for a year.
The company will open a couple of bottles at the end of February during a wine tasting in Bordeaux by the most prestigious experts in France. They will then put them through chemical tests. The researchers want to see how space altered sedimentation and bubbles.
Agricultural science is the main focus, said Nicolas Gaume, the company’s CEO and co-founder, and one of the lucky few who will taste the wine.
“Our goal is to address the solution of how we will have agriculture tomorrow that is both organic and healthy and capable of feeding humanity, and we believe that the key is in space,” Gaume said from Bordeaux.
US lottery offers huge jackpot of 615 million
Those who play the lottery will seek to win the eighth largest bag in American history because months have passed without anyone hitting the jackpot.
The Mega Millions jackpot of $ 615 million is the largest the lottery has offered in nearly two years. The jackpot for Powerball, the other national lottery, is 550 million for Wednesday night’s drawing.
Mega Millions executives raised the pot estimate at noon on Tuesday.
The jackpots advertised by lotteries refer to the winnings of those who opt for an annual income over 30 years. Almost all winners prefer the one-time, cash option, which would be about $ 458.8 million for Mega Millions and $ 411.4 million for Powerball.
Those who dream of instant wealth would do well to remember that the odds of winning the Powerball are one in 292.2 million. And in the case of Mega Millions they are one in 302.5 million.
Mega Millions and Powerball are played in 45 states and Washington DC, as well as the US Virgin Islands. Powerball is also played in Puerto Rico.
