Students from grades 1-11 will return to Moscow schools on January 18 and begin their studies as usual, according to a decree by Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin.

« As of January 18, 2021, schoolchildren will resume visits to educational centers that provide general primary, general basic, general secondary education, instituted (…) by the executive authorities of the city of Moscow » , reads the document.

At the same time, it is specified that if a single case of the Covid-19, the whole class goes back to distance education.

« Schools must comply with epidemiological safety measures as strictly as possible. If a single case of infection is detected, as in the first semester of the year, the entire class will temporarily go to distance education, » the note said.

On the other hand, the other restrictions by Coronavirus they run until Thursday, January 21.

Institutions of higher education, centers of additional education and sports schools, during this period « will operate remotely or will be on vacation. »

According to the mayor, in the coming days in the Russian capital the epidemiological situation will be clarified, which will allow decisions to be made for a longer period.
