WhatsApp It is no longer an application in which only messages are sent. Share multimedia files with your contacts it has become routine and in fact, every day 4.5 billion photos circulate through the app.
However, there is a drawback that can be very annoying: all these files cannot be shared in their original resolution and, therefore, they reach the recipient with a lower quality. But now there are two ways to fix it.
‘Photo upload quality’ and ‘Best quality’ function
Until recently, WhatsApp allowed you to choose between two options when sending a photo or video, ‘Automatic (recommended)‘or’Saving data‘. But now the app has incorporated a third option, ‘Best Quality‘, which allows you to adjust the image or video you send to high quality. An ideal option when you have to send files without losing resolution. Of course, it should be noted that if you send them when you are using 4G more data will be consumed.
These are the steps to activate the ‘Better quality’ option:
Open the Option menu by WhatsApp. Enter to ‘Settings‘and then to’Storage and Data‘. Once inside, look below the option ‘Media file upload quality‘or’ Multimedia upload quality ‘and you can adjust the upload quality of the photos. Select ‘Best quality’.
Send an image as a document
Another option that will allow us to preserve the original quality of our files when sharing them on WhatsApp is send them as a file. And how we do it?
Open the vconversation start of the contact or group you want to send an image to. Go to attach icon, which is the one that has clip shape. It is located inside the text window. Choose the option of ‘Document‘. Then you go to ‘Find other documents‘(or’ Browse other Docs’) in the new window that will have opened. There you can search the images or videos in the different folders that you have. To see the folders you must go to the icon located in the upper left part of the screen. From there you can select the images you want to send (They may appear in thumbnails or it may be that you can only read the name of each file) and send them without losing quality. Read also
