There seem to be a lot of users complaining about a drastic decrease in battery life with iOS 14.2. This version arrived several weeks ago, and since then these problems have multiplied.

At first it seemed a problem exclusive to the iPhone 12 and Apple forums were filled with users annoyed with battery life after updating to iOS 14.2. Even Apple released an exclusive update.
However with the passage of time they have appeared users of other iPhone models reporting this same problem with battery after updating to this version of iOS.
The worst thing about this is that the cause of this high battery consumption could not be located. On other occasions this problem was caused by a specific application or service, but now nothing is known. This means that there are no special tricks to avoid this excessive energy consumption, beyond the usual classic tricks.
A problem that will be fixed soon
The battery problem is serious, some say that your iPhone consumed 80% battery in a call of just half an hour. Other users report that they must charge their iPhone at the half day always. Hopefully this will be fixed soon.
The Next big iOS update is coming Monday, December 14. iOS 14.3 includes numerous improvements and new features and it surely fixes this annoying battery problem that many users have experienced in iOS 14.2.
If you are in this situation and your iPhone battery lasts very little since you updated to iOS 14.2, you should know that you are not alone and that the solution will come very soon. At the moment not much more is known about this problem that affects a large number of users, who not even restoring their iPhone managed to solve the problem. At least iOS 14.3 is close.
