Luis Enrique will facilitate this Thursday the call for the Final Four of the UEFA Nations League which is held next week in Italy and, in principle, the presence of Ansu Fati is not foreseen. Although the forward successfully reappeared against Levante, Barça wants to go slowly after a year of injury and Luis Enrique also does not intend to accelerate this process. As much in the FC Barcelona as in the selection there is a priority as it is to obtain a full recovery of the footballer without forcing the machine.
Ansu Fati is a player that the Federation is taking care of with great care. The doctors have been in contact with the footballer’s recuperators and Ansu himself has received federative support at all times, starting with that of the president, Luis Rubiales. A sample was seen when he was invited to a training session at the Wanda Metropolitano prior to the friendly match against Portugal in preparation for the 2021 European Championship.
Luis Enrique was very affectionate with him, like colleagues and the rest of the staff of the Rojto. Ansu has lived long periods in Madrid and he knew that he could count on the Federation for everything he needed.
Ansu Fati has not been included in the list of possible candidates to play the UEFA Nations League because it is understood that he is still on the road to recovery. Anyway, Luis Enrique will facilitate the list on Thursday and exceptional circumstances could alter these plans. If Ansu returns to play in Lisbon, does it for a longer period of time than against Levante and returns to perform at a spectacular level, the scenario might be different.
Luis Enrique will have problems to make his line of attack due to the injuries of Álvaro Morata, Gerard Moreno and Abel Ruiz. The three ‘nines’ of the previous appointment will not be able to play in the UEFA Nations League, like Dani Olmo but instead, recovers one of his Olympic forwards, Mikel Oyarzabal. He also has Rafa Mir in his portfolio, who is offering good benefits at Sevilla or the option of returning players who have fallen in recent times such as Rodrigo Moreno or Iago Aspas.
