Madrid defends presence in universities because they are “safe environments”

The Community of Madrid has defended the student presence in universities because they are “safe environments“having established measures of “Very tight” security.

This was stated this Friday at a telematic press conference by the Minister of Health, Enrique Ruiz Escudero, accompanied by the Deputy Minister of Public Health and the Covid-19 Plan, Antonio Zapatero; and the general director of Public Health, Elena Andradas.

Escudero has been in favor of the fact that whenever an activity takes place in a safe environment, it should continue with it. That itself has emphasized that must be accompanied by the “responsibility” of the students. “It is something that the universities themselves have claimed from us,” he declared.

The security of the centers has been verified from the General Directorate of Public Health and the Ministry of Science and Universities, although it has indicated that many centers already implement models of mixed presence.
