A woman and a child were injured after a shooting that occurred this Saturday night in Fort Lauderdale, so according to the authorities they had to be transferred to a Broward General Medical Center where they are reported in stable condition.
Fort Lauderdale police received reports of a shooting that took place around 6:40 p.m. near Northwest 1st Street and 1st Avenue, across the street from the Broward County Metro Transit Center.
When the police arrived at the scene, they found a woman and a child who had suffered gunshot wounds.
The preliminary investigation revealed that after a riot the shots had taken place, leading the police to assume that the woman and child were in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Police have so far not released any information about the possible suspects involved in the shooting.
