Patricia Ripley deceived the entire community for a moment when she simulated since last Thursday the alleged kidnapping of her son Alejandro, just 9 years old and with autism spectrum disorders.
The woman, of blood and cold heart, narrated to the police officers that two men had kidnapped her son. Detectives became suspicious that this was a lie when watching surveillance video at Home Depot at 15750 SW 88 St. from where Patricia made the emergency call, after waiting in her parked car for more than 15 minutes before report the kidnapping.
Alejandro’s lifeless body was found floating in a small lake last Friday morning in the quiet Kendale Lakes neighborhood of Miccosukee Golf and Country Club.
When the uniforms arrived, Alejandro was still wearing the Captain America T-shirt his mother had told officers on Thursday night.
When the body was lifted, the officers realized that the victim had a trauma to his head. There the story changed.
The 45-year-old murderer will serve her sentence at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center to face charges of first-degree murder and attempted premeditated murder, without bond.
